Our Story

Just imagine this...A couple, married with 4 grown children, 6 grandchildren, both working full time, decide to plant a small garden in their back yard.  So they kinda nurture it, but they aren't really into gardening, so they let it all happen naturally.  Well, then August comes, and so do the tomatoes. Mountains of them, more than they can give away, certainly more than they can eat!!  So... they decide to buy a small food processor and make some salsa.  Not having a clue what they were doing, they experiment, bring it to a housewarming, to work, and share it with friends.  The response was so positive, Profoun Salsa was born.
This happened the summer of 2004. We decided to make more and try it out at the local Farmers Markets.  We came up with a label on our home computer, used home canning jars, and put it out for tasting.  The reactions were overwhelming, the most common was "It tastes like it came right out of the garden."
This is when we decided to go further with it.  We contacted the State of Vermont and found out the legalities of being small business owners.  This led us to The Vermont Food Venture Center, where we currently produce our salsa in small micro batches using the same recipe that we used in our home kitchen.
We're confident everyone that tries Profoun Salsa will have the same great tasting experience.  It has a rich, natural flavor that is second to none.  We don't skimp on the ingredients, we use the freshest produce, hand cut and clean every vegetable, so that the salsa that hits your mouth is the finest available.  There are no additives, no preservatives, just honest to goodness freshness and flavor.
Our recipe was formed by trial and error.  We played around with it until it was the best. There are so many advantages to eating salsa.  Now you can enjoy the same great taste that has satisfied customers, family and friends all over the country. Our product is not only great tasting, it is very good for you.

Enjoy!
